About Us
Shelby Sod Company began in 1997 in the town of Harpersville, AL., in Shelby County. Currently, we grow Tifway 419 Bermuda, Zoysia, and Centipede. All sod land is irrigated with center pivot systems or hard hose reels and fixed irrigation guns. The majority of the sod we grow is sold in the Birmingham area mostly to either professional landscapers or homeowners for new home construction. Our philosophy is to grow and ship the best quality sod that can be grown in our area of the state and to make sure our customers are 100% satisfied with our product.
